Invitation to join webinar: The Nuclear Security Short History, and Its Meaning for the CBRN International Agreements by Dr Matteo Gerlini

The Biological Security Research Centre invites you to join Dr Matteo Gerlini online on Tuesday 30th April 3pm.

The Nuclear Security Short History, and Its Meaning for the CBRN International Agreements: Nuclear security is the third concept in order of appearance after nuclear safety and safeguards. Compared to its emergence as an autonomous field, distinct from safety and safeguards, security is assuming a greater and different importance than in the past.

This talk will try to outline the major changes that are taking place in the historical and political perspective, and the importance of nuclear security in dealing with the other chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) domains, especially the biological one. This will be done in the context of the international political and legal framework.
