The seventh Quarterly Newsletter by the International Biosecurity Education Network (IBSEN) examines implementation of education initiatives from the broader CBRN education field to identify and inform best practices in pedagogical methodologies for effective biosecurity education with a particular focus on “active learning”.
This issue also reports on the successful activities undertaken by LMU Biological Security Research Centre (BSRC) staff including our recent workshop in October, titled “The Impact of Emerging and Converging Technologies on Biosecurity and its Education” that brought together international experts to examine the technological and conceptual implications of converging technologies for biosecurity education, both now and in the future, and formed a part of ongoing work towards the publication of a Handbook to guide future biosecurity education.
The Newsletter also shares updates on global biosecurity education activities—including our November workshop which examined best practices in biosecurity methodologies and implementation.
Please let us know if anyone in your organisation would also like to receive our updates!
You can now access the Seventh Quarterly Newsletter on our ISBEN website.
