Experts View

We are delighted to introduce our new column, Experts’ View, featuring essays and reflections from leading practitioners and scholars on key aspects of the chemical and biological weapons control regime. This series provides a platform for those with first-hand experience in international security, disarmament, and non-proliferation to share their insights into the evolution, challenges, and successes of efforts to prevent the misuse of science and technology.

Capturing these expert perspectives is vital—not only for preserving the historical record of global efforts to eliminate and prohibit chemical and biological weapons, but also for informing and inspiring future work to strengthen the norm against their use. By documenting lessons learned and emerging ideas, Experts’ View contributes to a deeper understanding of how the efforts of civil society, States Parties, industry and all stakeholders come together to continue to uphold one of the most important pillars of international disarmament efforts.
