This week, the IBSEN’s Professor Lijun Shang and Professor Malcolm Dando published a clear call to action to States Parties to the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention to establish an International Biological Security Education Network (IBSEN) in the highly esteemed journal Nature.
The short correspondence article draws attention to the recent meeting of the Working Group on the Strengthening of the Biological Weapons Convention, at which LMU held a well-attended side event discussing future developments in biosecurity education, and urges States Parties to recommend establishing an IBSEN at the next review conference of Convention scheduled for 2027.
